Exterior Design

There are two AMG® GLE designs, both showing off muscular looks. SUV models are mid-size crossovers with 15 additional cubic feet of cargo space (75 cubic feet), while AMG® GLE Coupe models have the soul of a sports car and the elegance of a coupe.

All AMG® GLE models are styled with class-leading aerodynamics headlined by deep front rear aprons, an AMG®-specific vertical bar grille, a power dome hood, and body-color fender flares. With all-LED lighting, the AMG® GLE can illuminate the path day or night in any Bay Area driving condition. The SUVs have roof rails for additional utility. There are seven supersized AMG® wheel designs for Walnut Creek drivers to choose from, ranging from standard 20-inch wheels to 22 inches in diameter.

Interior Design

Five passengers seat in new AMG® GLE SUVs, but seven-passenger seating is optional. Access performance settings with the AMG® Performance steering wheel. Customize your AMG® GLE cabin with 64-color LED ambient lighting, eight interior trims, and a spectrum of upholstery options.

Performance

There are two AMG® GLE engines: A handcrafted AMG® biturbo V8 engine delivers 603 horsepower, while a turbo inline-6 engine outputs 429 ponies. Both engines add 184 pound-feet of electric torque through twin-scroll turbocharging and 48-volt hybrid drive. These AMG® GLE models utilize an agile all-wheel drive system - AMG® Performance 4MATIC+ - that will remind Walnut Creek drivers with the 'S' in SUV stands for. Enjoy personalized driving and smooth rides along Highway 24 to Oakland and back the AMG® Dynamic Select modes and an AMG® SPEEDSHIFT® TCT 9-speed transmission.

Technology

Dual 12.3-inch screens for multimedia and the digital instrument cluster make the AMG® GLE easy to engage with driving along I-680. Use Mercedes-Benz Navigation to find your way to the Lesher Center for the Arts in downtown Walnut Creek or other East Bay destinations. The Mercedes-Benz User Experience comes with 'Hey, Mercedes' keyword activation, and Voice Control with Natural Language Understanding uses artificial intelligence for more enjoyable rides around Walnut Creek. Remain in control with MBUX Interior Assistant, which monitors hand movements and acts accordingly.
